Apparatus/Equipment to be Donated

Survivair High-Pressure SCBA/Lucas Tool

The Federal Heights Fire Department desires to donate the following equipment that may be of use to a Colorado fire department(s) in need:

  • 18 SurvivAir high-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)

  • 36 SurvivAir SCBA facepieces

  • 63 SurvivAir SCBA bottles

  • 1 Lucas hydraulic power unit with cutters and spreaders

While this equipment is old and worn, it has been maintained and is operational.  The SCBA is about 15 years old, and the hydraulic power unit with attachments is about 25 years old.  The SCBA will require current flow testing, and the bottles will require current hydrostatic testing.  Quantities are approximate, and the equipment would need to be picked up in Federal Heights.

Interested fire departments may apply for this equipment by e-mailing Chief Andrew Marsh at amarsh@ci.federal-heights.co.us or sending a written request to Chief Marsh at the Federal Heights Fire Department, 2400 W. 90th Avenue, Federal Heights, CO 80260.  Provide a brief statement of need (including fire department budget).

Questions may be directed to Chief Marsh at 303-412-3560.  Decisions on donations will be based on demonstrated need as determined by the Federal Heights Fire Department and the City of Federal Heights.  Deadline to apply is July 15, 2008.
