Background

The 2008 Strategic Plan called for the creation of a Wildland Fire Section of the CSFCA, which would bring together CSFCA members involved in wildland fire management to provide leadership, expertise and direction on wildland fire issues.

The Organizational Meeting of the CSFCA Wildland Fire Section was held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at South Metro Fire Headquarters, 9195 East Mineral Avenue, Centennial, Colorado. This meeting resulted in the development of a proposed mission statement and goals, conceptual organizational structure, and implementation strategy.  All of which is subject to the approval of the CSFCA Board of Directors and the charter members of the new section.
